So I started the new job. Been a pretty quick week. Two more working days.... (4 more Actaul days) and then it's off to th Domincan.
Fiona, the sweetheart came over last night to watch ANTM and brought me some VACATION CLOTHES... including this great lil black sundress number. Flattering! Don't feel like a bloated balloon! Great and Good (Grood)!
She also brought some super keen yellow heal-ly sandals etc. I'll be so fashionable! (Or walk around barefoot in comfies all week- we'll see!)

The new job is good though. It's very office. but we have the top floor of a place on King, and the actual layout isn't too annoying. The people are nice blah blah blah. Thanking God that I am (again) working with Nina. It's nice to have a friend, at least on lunch hour, to be "me" with. And not the office me (which is really nothing special)- The cool fucking right on it's krista Me. That one's the best. Plus there's too many places to eat around work. Roti, sammiches, soupies, indian. Yes, I'll get bigger. It's apparent.
Finally got a hair trim. It's been since November. I mean except if we count when I cut it.
Corey made me and Nina and Fiona a Mexican feast last night. Fajitas, man. Oh, and like UMPHteen bottles of wine. And some bubbles.
Shit.
I'm becoming boring already.
If this "Cold FX" shit works then I will have some fun this weekend "pre trip" and write about THAT.
If not, I apologise in advance.

Peace!

Oh wait also we had a potluck at work and I threw together a dilly pasta salad thing and got mad props!
Go me!

Total Eclipse

TONIGHT!
What an excuse to have some fun!

Tonight, in Toronto's clear skies will be an eclipse.

"The partial eclipse begins at 8:43 p.m. ET, but it's not much to look at early on. Some of the sun's light is still hitting the moon, and it doesn't look dramatic until the "total" phase begins at 10:01 p.m. ET.

That's when the moon is entirely in Earth's shadow, for 50 minutes. The moon will be dusky orange-red during this time, not invisible -- because some indirect sunlight still hits it.

It's spooky looking, and the most dramatic appearance should be in mid-eclipse, 10:26 p.m."

Dooby?

Sunny like the Shithawk

Nothing says Saturday morning like Fresh Earl Grey Tea leaves.
mmmm.
Corey's out on a venture to Timmy's for a coupla bagels (and some fuel for himself).
I wanted to sleep in until forever today but that sun coming in our bedroom window just would not quit.

Last night was kinda nice.
Sporatically left our apt and made our way down the street to the bar situated closest to our apt.
After indulging in some bubbles, doobs, and pizza- we weren't feeling very adventurous.
Ran into our lawyer-pal, and have a few drinks.

And then home- and more 'za.

I want to cook something in the slowcooker this weekend.
I got a great vegetarian cookbook byMadhur Jaffrey this Xmas from Corey's sis, and am going to try out some sort of Trinidadian (?) soup or stew.
Anyone know where I can buy lemongrass????
Perhaps a trip to Little India is in store for us this weekend.

Yikes, this tea is good!

I love long weekends.
Come over Sunday night and play POP 5 and drink Jagermeister from our vintage liquor glasses.
Let's extend the shit out of this weekend!

Boobs!

I got a little spoiled for V day.
Big Bones to spend at Secrets From your Sister.
The only known bra-store in the city that carries ACTUALLY fashionable bras for the mutant bodied, like myself.
Say goodbye to those built in Shoulder pads, on a count of the weight- dealy!
Yaaah!

Felt ill last night. but managed to REALLY enjoy a homemade Corey-meal of arooooo-gula salad with fresh salmon atop.
Went to bed at a decent hour and am ready to drink a drink or two this evening.

Highwaisted, u in?

Tino Monte Guest starred as a newscaster on Queer as Folk in 2003

But unfortunately THIS was the only pic I could find!
Oooooooooohhhhh, Tino!

Wednesday, February 13, 2008

WTF?

THIS AIN'T TINO MONTE!!!

Who's been under the knife more?

Dr. Phil's wife, Robin
Or Joan Rivers?

You know what REALLY grinds my gears?

Unshoveled sidewalks.
Like come on, Toronto! I feel like a baby who's learning to walk all over again. Not only do I look like an idiot, but I fear a slip or twist that could surely damage my back. I have a weak back, man.
Throw me a bone!

I gots a new jorb

I start my new ADULT job at Canada's #1 job Website on Feb.25th.
I am excited to start, get benefits (dentist much??), and a salary and all that jazz. One week into it- we're off to the Dominican! Time to celebrate, with a heavy dose of R &R.
I am missing the sun. It is freeeezing here.
And the snow- oh my.
Corey and I wanted to do a fun evening of tobaganing, but dang, it's too cold.
Yar, Cold is I.

I miss summer nights of Pylon-heading.

And my dog friends

And my beatuful, awesome bike with the (veggie) burger bell *sigh
And shit like this:
Oh and Oysters.
I haven't had them in a while.

Those are the times I have been happiest as of late. Except of course for ANYWHERE with my sweetheart.

Let's go have a glass of Jamisons somewhere.....

Wild Willie Weekend

Some Highlights:

now, of course much of our weekend was not caught on film.

Our cheap chili chowdown, drinks at the Hotel, Uncle NORM, Normy's pal who asked Corey and I if we "indulge" and then dissappeared to go roll..... not to return for HOURS, Our dance party at mom's with the neighbors, my sister and Meg's Airband, and of course my sweetheart sliding down mom's bannister, only to discover that the brown paint came off on his arse.... they may need to re-touch that. (whoops)

So fun.

The drive north on Friday was no-fun. Nor was the drive to Waterloo, which took three times the normal time- due to snow etc.

But we made it there in one piece ONLY to attend the parade, all lined-up looking for Sunny the Sauble Shithawk, and the son of a bitch was a NO SHOW! Marmie started a rant at the end of the parade- "We want Sunny. We want Sunny"
No luck.
That's it- I am writing a letter to the Owen Sound Times!
