Dear Jane,
Are you sure this drawing of a spider is the one I sent you? This spider only has seven legs and I do not feel I would have made such an elementary mistake when I drew it.

Regards, David.

Hello, I am back and have read through your emails and accept that despite missing a leg, that drawing of a spider may indeed be the one I sent you. I realise with hindsight that it is possible you rejected the drawing of a spider due to this obvious limb ommission but did not point it out in an effort to avoid hurting my feelings. As such, I am sending you a revised drawing with the correct number of legs as full payment for any amount outstanding. I trust this will bring the matter to a conclusion.

Regards, David

Dear David,
As I have stated, we do not accept drawings in lei of money for accounts outstanding.
We accept cheque, bank cheque, money order or cash. Please make a payment this week to avoid incurring any additional fees.

Yours sincerely, Jane Gilles

I understand and will definitely make a payment this week if I remember. As you have not accepted my second drawing as payment, please return the drawing to me as soon as possible. It was silly of me to assume I could provide you with something of completely no value whatsoever, waste your time and then attach such a large amount to it.

Regards, David.

Seriously......

How LONG are my nostrils?

I caught a glimpse of myself while in the change room at H&M on the weekend.

I was shocked.

I found photographic evidence that my nostirls.... may win a world record.

hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

Today at 5pm I go in for a hair choppin'. I am growing this shit out though.
I found that during my pilates classes that I have the tiniest of ponytails already! It's like 2 inches long. This may, however change after 5pm today BUT I am in desperate need for a real trim. This means not ME in my bathroom chopping away.

Growing- Hair and Nails both.
For the first time in 18 years I want a different New Year's Resolution than "stop biting my nails". It is ridiculous. I have somehow found the power though. These babies are LONG. I figured with flu season and everything I prolly shouldn't be putting my fingers in my mouth ANYWAYS.

I volunteered at the Daily Bread Food Bank yesterday. Nice to get an afternoon away from the old office and do good. Plus we found some amazing shit. Peoples home movies on VHS, PUDDIN' from around 1962 I SWEAR.... oh and a half jar of PB and one bagel in it's bag.
THANKS FOR DONATING!

Birf-day Weekend

My Birthday weekend was pretty much amazing.
Friday night was so so much fun. It was a long night- and a good night.

That's what you get for having your first corona at 4:30pm I suppose.

I made my way to Jamieson country later in the evening- which may explain the bruises on my legs. Ouch.
All in all no one was hurt too much. I did get to sing some karaoke and many friends turned up for the festivities.

"White Rabbit"- I need a new song.

My adoring fans.

Pals!

Chicks!

I would marry my own cheekbones here.

And finally, me realizing that my purple bra is showing in all pics, due to the flash- again

I NEED NEW CLOTHES. and a new bra, apparently.

Saturday night i had the most amazing dinner at the most amazing restaurant with the most amazing people. I love my pals. Was so tired and full after dinner that we headed home early. I am a party pooper BUT It was my Birthday so ANYTHING is allowed. New Rule :)

Sunday night I went to St. Jacobs for brunch with my pops. A post, as promised "all about Bob" will come soon.

Hi, I'm 31

I woke up this morning to many Bday wishes from many great friends and family.

Apparently Jackson has learned to type because I also received this picture from him via email with a "Happy Birthday Mom" message.

Tonight- Meatless Balls.

Last day of a 30 year old gal

That's right. 'Cause tomorrow I turn 31!

I am happy to be where I am. I am "in my thirites", not in terrible shape (although we can always use improvements), I (actually) like my job, I have great friends, a ridicously fun family, and of course C dawg and J cat.

I guess what I am saying is that I am pretty lucky.

My birthday festivites begin around Friday at 4 O Clock near work where lots of pals are coming out to celegrate not only my own, but a few other friends at work's Bdays. (including JOEL and KYLE)

I will eventually (if time allows) make my way drag my ass to the GLADSTONE for some much needed KARAOKE. And knowing me, I'll sing a staple like White Rabbit because lots of work people have yet to experience it.

Yes, It is an experience.

Also I hope C dawg gets up to do a diddy and then his signature front flip off the stage.

Saturday I head to KW and go to BHIMAS for dinner and then meet up with more great pals.

My sister is coming now too- wooo hooo. She also used to work there, as did BOLT so this will be a good ol trip down memory lane.

Oh yes. Memories of being the "dish pig" in an open-concept kitchen where I had to go retrieve the pots and pans from the chef's who would throw them to the side afte ruse.

Memories of the scars I endured on my arms from being hit by said flying pots and pans.

Oh but seriously? MEMORIES OF THE GOD DAMN 'STAFF MEAL' WHICH WAS ALWAYS THE BEST SHIT I HAVE EVEN TASTED.(So worth it)

I also get to go see my daddy on Sunday. (full weekend). My dad = hilarious.

Someday I will dedicate a post to him and all the shit he has said / done. A big piece of "Bobby Z" is a part of both my sister and I. I see it in her and I am sure she see's it in me. We are also both very much like Marmie. A good Gilbert-Zerback mix, I'd say.

Alright I am off to enjoy my last day of "30"

Cheers.

MY BIRTHDAY....

Is next Thursday. The following Saturday I am dragging my arse to Waterloo to go to my VERY FAVORITE restaurant, BHIMAS WARUNG.

I'm telling you, this place would make my list of top ten THINGS THAT PLEASE ME.

Ironically, it is also the place I began my life in the working world.

Here's my circa 1997 or 8 washing dishes on New Years Eve.
Oh, that leopard!

Better now- Here's the place and food

Looooord help me.

Wil I make it through the next 10 days????????????

C'est Halloween- HEY!

Hallowe'en- Day One- work party:

I think we did a great job. My team went all out getting their costumes together - notice Kyle's "light saver = fluorescent light bulb", and Joel's costume = an actual lightsaver.
Plus Jar Jar Binks has never has such a nice rack, in my opinion ;)

Moving on.....

Night One- KW:

Hallowe'en- Night Two- T dot:

The red arrow is pointing to my first customer at the snacks table. I love venturing out to the Mexican Food Market to get delicious hot salsa, cheese and fresh corn tortillas, and making these cheesy quesadillas to bring to the party so that I can watch as some wheat-a-bix feeds the dog my snacks.
Ha!

Oh well, I know I had at least one more customer. I'm hoping some of the party-goers (who are not of the canine persuasion) stumbled upon my treats on the table latter in the night :)

I love Hallowe'en. Really, any excuse to dress up is cool beans with me. The great thing about Alicia and Hayley's friends are they are all great sports and get into the costume thang. I also recently realized that although I have been at a few different "dress up" parties at the ALI-JOE-HAYLEY-JAMES place- this was the first actual Hallowe'en one.

Again, any excuse to get dressed up. I am in.

This evening is dinner with the Kumars. Whatever shall we make? I am so into food this week I can't even tell you. Let's just say this week I am "allowed". Next week- salad time.

Oh yes, this just in- Jackson still adorable-

the end.

You Know You're Old When....

Your friend's KID is in the MuchMusic VJ searches "Top 8"

Last nights dinner was amazing.

it equaled-

Plus roasted carrots, potatoes, and some steamed brocs.

I am eating the leftovers now and trying my darned not to grab a spoon and slurp up all the leftover gravy on my plate (at my desk).
