I am obsessed....

With the weather.

And tuxedo cats.

Is it weird that it slightly irks (see: Grinds My Gears) me that it's going to be warmer in the city than in the country-side where we are headed this Easter weekend?

I mean, it's still going to be WICKED NICE out. But not AS nice.

Either way- the C dawg has informed me that he WILL go swimming at some point this weekend. Probably at the beach in Port Elgin (our first stop - his 'rents) as my mom told me that the last time she was near their place north of Wiarton (second stop- my ma's place) THERE WAS STILL SNOW BY THE WATER!

I'll be cheering him on..... from the beach. Maybe under a sweater of some kind.

Heading out after work with Ali to some event by She does the city.
Alls I know is there's wine and it's right after work. These two things go hand in hand for this broad.

While tearing through my closet this morning in attempts to find something to wear for said event.... I ONLY WISH I still had this gorgeous outfit. (I'm on the left)

I would have filled it out these days- I'm sure!

So much nostalgia going on for me these days.
Popping up here, there and everywhere.
Pictures (like this one of myself and old pal Karen), Dreaming about yesteryear, Finding old friends / flames on facebook....

It's all a little too much for the Zerbinator right now. Right now being my "special time". Lately around this "time" I have become a bit of an emo-case.
Picture me, Monday evening, reading my Maeve Binchy novel in bed... BAWLING.

Anyways, give me three more days and I'll be back to my normal, slightly neurotic self.

Weekend. 2 Parties. Hives.

This weekend was pretty much a whirlwind of events.

Friday Night was Ali and Hayley's housewarming shin-dig. Fun times. I can't believe I made it past 1 AM. I got off work at 4pm and let's just say the evening began there. Their new place is terrific and full of fuzzy love- with the two newest members of their family. "Hi Spaghetti and Megatron!"

Saturday night was unbelievable as well. House party outside of KW. Complete with

* Indoor pool.
* Corey parading around in 2 or 3 different ladies swimsuits.
* Mark unknowingly putting on Corey's COMPLETE outfit after swimming.
* Corey parading around in own underpants, in search of said outfit.
* Corey finding a shirt and some jeans and throwing them on.
* Mark accosting Corey when he arrives in the room- for wearing his clothes.
* Corey noticing and pointing out that Mark was donned head to toe in his outfit.

Amazing. Corey's outfit is some jeans and this really faded RODEO shirt with the graphic now very hard to see. Either way- wouldn't you KNOW that your AREN'T putting on your own, rather someone ELSE'S clothes????

Let's take a poll on this.

Sunday- went and hung out with Dad. Played his new Wii. Scored the equivalent of a 76 year old when testing my ability in 3 random sports.
Good times.

Sunday night we opted for some HO LEE CHOW (now called CHO CHO CHO) I ordered some shirmp. Broke out in HIVES ALL OVER MY BODY.

I suppose I may still be allergic to shellfish?? ha!

What Makes Me Happy Today

First and foremost THIS makes me happy:

Getting off of work at 3:30 on a day like today makes me equally as happy.

And finally HER and HER make me happy.... And I get to celebrate their housewarming party tonight AND see Ali's new Kittens!!!!!

Here is the picture I drew for their housewarming party invite that went out weeks ago-

I added the cats today- for good measure.

PEACE!

NOBODY talks this way to a TUX!

Tones of Home

Sitting at my desk. Uploaded a shitload of cd's into my itunes to keep me company. Some of these songs are so Nostalgia City.
I feel like I am back in grade 9 again, sneaking into my sister's room to hang out with her and her cool friends....And listening to Blind Melon's first album.

Shit buzz about Shannon Hoon dying so god-damned young. Dood-man, he was 28.
As a minor niner I suppose that was quite a bit "older", but now the 31 year-old me is like SHUT THE FRONT DOOR. 28!

Weird. next song is "Love, You Should Have Come Over" by Jeff Buckely. He was just shy iof his 31st Birthday when he drowned. Again, a shame. Jeff in perticular was a musician I could have seen just getting better and better.

Somewhere in this itunes mix is a bunch of Elliott Smith. Another goner. 33. Probably the death in the music world that had the most impact on me. Him and Jerry Garcia. Don't laugh.

That reminds me... where ARE all my old G. Dead cds?

*side note: "Devil Inside" by INXS just started playing. Creepy.

RIP Fingernail

I had been doing an exceptional job growing my fingernails. Until yesterday. My ring finger got caught on my teeth something and now it's a sad sight to see. My left hand looks peculiar. Nuff said.

This weekend will be an emotional one.
A very good friend of the family's daddy has passed away. Knew him since I was a wee one. The visitation is this weekend and my family has decided (easy decision) to go and support the people we love.

I have not seen my mom since Xmas. She was in Florida for the entire month of February and we were going to see her in a few weeks on her Bday but this unfortunate event is bringing the whole fam-damily together.

Note: we are all sleeping at our place. Tight squeeze.

And the Sofa City Sweetheart goes tooooooo....

BROTHER IN LAW!

HAHA ROB (if ur reading- promise to provide comfortable pillows and clean sheets)

Corey called Matt from the Rogers commercial....

You know the one? There like a bonfire and that Matt dood goes up to the "cute brunette" girl and shows her how to navigate around on her new phone?

Well at the end it shows him leaving her his phone number so out of pure curiosity, C dawg called it.

Call it! 647-747-0093 ...

It's retarded!

Oh, the good ol' hockey game...

I'm taking C dawg to the LEAFS game this evening. It's our Valentine's treat! A little late to keep that commercially-hyped lovin' going on and on.

I hope they win.
It's always more fun when they win.

The weather is shaping up and the sun has started to give me a new light.

Saturday is calling for 6 degrees. A-mazing.

Two buds may be coming up to visit that day from Sketchener-Waterpoo-- perfect timing.

Someday soon I want to go back to Clintons to Shake A Tail Feather.

Come on, people- Let's go cut a rug. It's been so long.

Nuit Blanche

THIS is an amazing video.
It's beautifully shot and won an award at the LG Short Film Fest !

The best part of it- that it is featuring my good mate, Metal Mike who's taken up residence in Medicine Hatt.

Miss you, buddy!
